Choosing and placing the correct speakers to deliver the sound you want is key. Home theatre systems typically include five or more speakers. Some speakers are designed to be mounted on the wall, while others can be placed on stands or brackets. The main front speakers are typically fixed to the wall, either using speaker mounts or brackets. The surround sound speakers are usually placed on stands or shelves, and the subwoofer is generally placed on the floor.
